Credit reporting

We report all your payments to the three major credit bureaus. If you pay on time (and stay current on your other bills), this could put you in a good position over time to improve your credit score.

Payment processing

Customers can make payments in several different ways, such as by check, MoneyGram, online and electronic payments (ACH), cash or payment card, depending on how and where you make those payments and our current policies for accepting these types of payments. You can contact us at any time if you think a mistake has been made in processing your payments to us (for example, because you think a charge was made for more than you authorized or you think the same payment was charged twice). We will review the details with you, check our own records and, if needed, ask for information or assistance from you and the banks and payment networks involved in the transaction. If we learn that a payment processing error was our fault, we will work with you to make the corrections, refunds and adjustments needed to correct our mistake.

1. What is APR?

APR (Annual Percentage Rate) is the interest rate that the bank, lending institution or finance company will charge you yearly on your contract. Your APR depends on the state in which you reside, the vehicle you are purchasing, the length of your contract and your creditworthiness.

2. What is Simple Interest?

Simple Interest is a method whereby interest will continue to accrue daily on the unpaid balance of your contract until you pay it in full. Accordingly, the amount of finance charge will vary more or less depending on when payments are made and when the account is finally paid in full.

3. How does the down payment work?

It is what you give the finance company that allows you to take delivery of your vehicle and to show your commitment to making your future payments. Your goal is to pay off your contract, so the more money you have for your down payment, the less you’ll need to finance, which means you may be able to pay your contract sooner.

4. What does “term” mean?

The term is the number of months you will be paying on your contract until it is paid in full. Remember, the longer the term, the lower your payment will be, but you will be paying more interest on that contract than on a shorter term.

5. What if I have no credit or even bad credit?

Almost 80% of all adults have more than one bad report in their credit history. Many times banks will not finance people with no credit or bad credit. But our company, CNAC, has been financing people with credit problems for nearly 20 years. We put aside past problems and credit scores and focus on your current circumstances in hopes of getting you a better car and an affordable payment.

6. What is the payment overcharge policy?

You can contact us with payment processing questions at any time, but you should contact us as soon as possible if you think a mistake has been made in processing your payments to us (for example, because you think a charge was unauthorized or made for more than you authorized, or because you think the same payment was charged twice). We will review the details with you, ask you for supporting documents, check our own records and, if needed, ask for information or assistance from you and the banks or payment networks involved in the transaction. If we learn that a payment processing error was our fault, we will work closely with you to make the corrections, refunds and adjustments needed to correct our mistake. If your own depository institution imposes an overdraft charge, and you provide the documents and information we request to show you incurred these charges due to our payment processing mistake, we will refund those overdraft charges to you. The time needed to review and process refunds or corrections can vary and depend on the banks and payment networks involved in your claim. We are not responsible to you for mistakes made by your own depository institution. No refunds will be due to you if the payment made is one you authorized.

7. Is the information I submit online kept private?

Completely! Our website has a secure certificate from ssl.com, so when you hit the submit button, the information that is being sent to us is encrypted until it arrives safely at our corporate computers. Don’t be embarrassed about your credit with us – many people who thought they could not qualify for financing have been approved by CNAC.

Collection Calls: CNAC collection calls may be placed Monday-Sunday between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time as recommended by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
